Biography
Prof. Han received her undergraduate training in occupational therapy from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. She earned her MPhil degree in Neurophysiology from the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and her PhD degree in Neuropsychology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. As a qualified occupational therapist, Prof. Han has extensive experience in pediatric rehabilitation, addressing various challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, cortical visual impairment, Down syndrome, physical disabilities, cerebral palsy, and sensory integration dysfunction. Her research interests focus on neuropsychology and its application to children and adolescents with special educational needs (SEN), with a strong emphasis on neuroscience. Prof. Han's research and collaborative efforts have led to publications in high-impact journals, and she has received recognition as a Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Investigator (CoI) for several highly competitive external grants, including the General Research Fund (GRF) and the Hospital and Medical Research Fund (HMRF). Her commitment to advancing knowledge in this field has not only enriched academic discourse but has also enhanced therapeutic practices for individuals affected by these challenges. As she continues to explore innovative approaches, Prof. Han aims to bridge the gap between research findings and their practical applications in educational settings.
