簡歷

 辛美琪博士於中山大學(廣州)取得醫學學士學位(主修預防醫學),其後於香港中文大學賽馬會公共衛生及基層醫療學院取得博士學位(主修公共衛生)並接受博士後培訓。

作為一名行為科學研究者,辛博士一直致力把行為醫學領域中最新的理論及方法,應用於設計有效兼具可擴展性的介入計劃,從而鼓勵及協助有需要的人士主動參與疾病預防同健康管理。她特別關注樂齡健康相關研究,致力於社區層面推動長者同照顧者建立健康行爲(如積極運動的生活方式、善用預防保健服務,以及尋求專業醫療健康服務),從而提升自我管理能力,並維持日常生活的獨立性。

具體而言,她的研究主要聚焦於結合先進的行為改變技術與數碼科技,以促進健康行為啟動及維持背後的動機與意志過程。在一項由優配研究金資助的隨機對照試驗中,她致力開發一個全自動聊天機械人介入計劃,結合敘事勸說與「實施意向」策略,以促進社區長者接種流感疫苗的行為。此外,在另一項由醫療衛生研究基金資助的研究中,她致力開發世界衛生組織「心理自助+」(Self-Help Plus)的數碼化版本,並融合參與促進的策略,以支援長者照顧者在日常生活中實踐基於接納與承諾療法(ACT)的壓力管理技巧。

除介入研究外,她亦開展與行為及心理健康結果相關之社會心理機制的流行病學研究,其重點在於探討社區人士如何感知並應對健康威脅。在另一項由醫療衛生研究基金資助的隊列研究中,她致力追蹤超過1,000名出現慢性失眠症狀的社區長者及其家屬,分析其疾病感知、專業求助行爲及其他疾病應對模式。
