簡歷
Adams教授擁有逾30年學術研究及高等教育經驗,曾任職於多所英國及澳洲著名大學。他的跨學科研究計劃涵蓋健康服務研究、公共衞生及健康社會科學等範疇,運用多元研究設計與方法,為社區、病人、醫護專業人員及政策制定者提供具影響力的實證知識與政策啟示。
Adams教授的研究範圍廣泛,包括:基層醫療及專職醫療服務;傳統、補充及整合醫學(Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine, TCIM);社區為本醫療實踐與自我健康管理;各類慢性疾病患者的生活經驗與照護需要,尤其聚焦於中風、情緒障礙、認知障礙症及肌肉骨骼疾病;生活質素與福祉、疾病預防及生活方式醫學;健康老齡化;數碼健康科技的共同設計與實踐應用;婦女健康;癌症及紓緩治療;健康城市與城市規劃設計;以及弱勢社群和人口的健康與照護等多個領域。
Adams教授至今已發表超過640篇學術著作,包括8本國際醫療研究專書。他曾主持及參與超過50項研究項目,累計獲得超過1.4億港元等值的外部研究資助,並經常與國際重要健康機構及非學術合作夥伴開展研究,包括各國衞生部門、世界衞生組織(WHO)、泛美衞生組織(PAHO)、美國公共衞生協會(APHA)及澳洲糖尿病協會(Diabetes Australia)等。
其卓越研究成就獲國際廣泛認可,曾獲頒備受推崇的富布賴特高級學者獎學金(Fulbright Senior Scholarship,2019–2020),並於2007年至2019年間連續獲得三項澳洲國家健康與醫學研究委員會(NHMRC)及澳洲研究委員會(ARC)研究學人計劃資助,包括享負盛名的ARC Future Fellowship(教授級)。
此外,Adams教授現為牛津大學納菲爾德基層醫療健康科學系(Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences)牛津國際基層醫療研究領袖培訓計劃(Oxford International Primary Health Care Research Leadership Programme)的高級研究員(Senior Fellow),亦獲多所世界知名大學委任為客座教授,包括英國倫敦帝國理工學院(Imperial College London)。
