陳教授的研究着重於社區老年人在正常衰老和病理性退化方面的認知健康，並採用經顱直流電刺激、電生理測量和定性方法等研究方法。她的臨床經驗側重於老年病學實踐，尤其是失智症和中風康復。她之前是香港理工大學的臨床導師。回到新加坡後，她在新加坡理工大學擔任了兩年的助理教授。其後，她在一個半政府機構工作了兩年，專注於為新加坡社區醫療康復服務進行項目評估。
