卢敏婷女士于香港理工大学取得职业治疗理学士学位及哲学硕士学位，其后于香港中文大学取得心理学硕士学位。
在加入理工大学之前，卢女士于医院管理局担任高级职业治疗师，并于公营医院服务超过十五年。她拥有丰富治疗早期思觉失调、一般精神障碍（例如：抑鬱症、焦虑症）及老年认知障碍症的经验。卢女士的专长为认知复康个案。卢女士曾担任医院管理局多个工作小组的召集人或成员，以推动职业治疗认知康复治疗的发展，曾处理的项目包括社交认知互动训练课程教材套、HA Go认知训练程式、遥距认知训练课程等。
卢女士著有数份研究论文和书本章节，亦擅于各类自我管理、工作复康及生活技能的治疗，例如压力及焦虑处理、工作辅导及家居环境改装。自2018年起，她定期出任康复治疗科学系的客座讲师，亦是一位临床教师。卢女士热衷教学，希望培育新一代的职业治疗人材。
