Biography
Ms Jacqueline Au-Yeung obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy and Master of Science degree in Health Care from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). After graduating from PolyU, she dedicated herself to paediatric physiotherapy, working for over 20 years in various non-governmental organisations, including Early Education and Training Centres, Special Child Care Centres, and Special Schools for Children with Physical Disabilities. She has extensive clinical experience in the rehabilitation of children with various medical conditions and is deeply passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) to reach their fullest potential and helping them transition smoothly from preschool to adulthood. In 2020, Ms Au-Yeung joined the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at PolyU as part of the teaching team. With a strong foundation in both paediatric physiotherapy and education, she is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of physiotherapists through her clinical expertise, teaching, and mentorship. She is also deeply committed to service learning and actively leads students from the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences (FHSS) on overseas service-learning projects to broaden their global perspectives. These initiatives have taken students to countries such as Cambodia and Mongolia. Her dedication to teaching excellence was further recognised when she was awarded the Fellowship of the Advanced Higher Education (FHEA) in 2025.
