PolyU Huawei Innovation (PHI) Partnership Series: Artificial Intelligence (AI) Bootcamp

By partnering with Huawei and the certified training partner, PolyU ITDO has held two rounds of AI bootcamp in the second and third week of December 2020. AI has become one of widely-discussing topics in recent years due to its potential societal benefits. The bootcamp aims to spur educators’ innovations by introducing the fundamental AI concepts and algorithms.

The 3-day hands-on bootcamps have attracted around 50 researchers from different faculties to learn the latest AI technologies and practical programming skills. During the bootcamp, participants have been equipped with the cutting-edge AI technologies and development trends. The full-stack all-scenario AI strategy, the algorithms and development practices related to traditional machine learning, deep learning, development frameworks have also been covered in the training. The bootcamps were intense but very fruitful. Participants could be able to develop sharp insights and new perspectives for their teaching or research endeavors.
