Welcome to the Research Institute for Future Food (RiFood)!
RiFood was established in May 2021 as a university-level platform to facilitate impactful interdisciplinary research at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. At present, RiFood has three main Research Directions, namely Food Sustainability, Smart Technology and Functional Food Development, and Nutrition and Human Health. With about 45 faculty members from 13 departments, RiFood aims to be a world-leading research institute that advances and transfers knowledge by research, public education and professional service to address the key challenges in food science and human health, for the benefit of Hong Kong, the nation and the world.
We welcome academic, industrial, or governmental partners to join RiFood. We also welcome young scientists to join RiFood as researchers or PhD students to strengthen your academic records or pursue your PhD studies. For any enquiries, please feel free to contact us.
