Dr. Jiang received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Flight Vehicle Design and Engineering at ShenYuan Honours College, Beihang University in 2012. He received his PhD in Fluid Mechanics at School of Aeronautic Science and Engineering, Beihang University in 2018. The title of his PhD thesis is “Numerical Study of Gas Flows Spanning Continuum and Rarefied Regimes”. He joined Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as Research Assistant since January 2019.

His research interests include:
(1) Rarefied gas dynamics and gas-kinetic theory;
(2) Hypersonic and nonequilibrium aerodynamics;
(3) Molecular simulation (direct simulation Monte Carlo & Fokker-Planck simulation);
(4) Numerical methods for computational fluid dynamics.
