Brief introduction:

Dr. Zhao received his bachelor's degree from School of Aeronautic Science and Technology, Beihang University in 2008 and PhD from National Laboratory of CFD, Beihang University in 2013. Before joining Department of Mechanical Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) as a Research Assistant, he worked for School of Aerospace Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology as a Associate Professor.

Dr Zhao is currently focusing on the following research topics:
(1) Hypersonic boundary-layer transition control;
(2) Hypersonic transition predication and modeling;
(3) DNS, LES and Hybrid RANS/LES methods;
(4) CFD software design;
(5) Aero-acoustic environment prediction.
