PolyU has attained an encouraging result in the newly released Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023, ranking 79th in the world, up 12 places from the 2022 rankings, and rising in the rankings for three consecutive years.

 

PolyU achieved strong results in various assessment areas in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The performance indicators are grouped into five areas: teaching (the learning environment); research (volume, income and reputation); citations (research influence); international outlook (staff, students and research); and industry income (knowledge transfer).

 

Professor Jin-Guang Teng, President of PolyU was pleased with the University’s impressive performance in the THE World University Rankings, which reflects the ongoing endeavours of the PolyU community to strive for excellence in education and research. He believed that the University will refer to such rankings and other forms of assessment of the achievements to identify areas for further improvement so that PolyU can make even greater contributions in the future to the development of Hong Kong, our Nation and the world.
