理大研究項目獲選為年度十大創科新聞

劉樹平教授發現納米級鐵電新材料

理大應用物理學系納米材料講座教授兼系主任及光子技術研究院副院長劉樹平教授領導的團隊發現，二硫化鉬（MoS2）和二硫化鎢（WS2）合組的納米級雙層堆疊展現出其鐵電物料固有的電極化特性，只要施加電流便可切換其電極。該新型納米鐵電體具有低成本、低耗能和可靠的複製性，可被大規模製造。研究成果有望推動現代電子產品的前沿發展，電子製造商將對此大感興趣。   是項研究由理大團隊聯同中國人民大學、劍橋大學，以及南京大學學者合作進行。有關研究發現已刊載於國際學術期刊《科學》（Science）。   閱讀更多: https://www.polyu.edu.hk/tc/media/media-releases/2023/0118_polyu-research-discovers-nanoscale-ferroelectric-new-materials-exhibiting-potential/  

黃冬梅博士榮獲2022年全球光電大會（OGC）青年科學家獎

光子技術研究院成員黃冬梅博士其卓越的學術成就榮獲2022 年 OGC 青年科學家獎。   第七屆全球光電大會（OGC 2022）於2022年12月6日至11日以虛擬方式舉行。OGC 2022由IEEE光子學會廣東分會主辦，南方科技大學電氣與電子工程系承辦。會議旨在促進國內外學術界和工業界各學科專業人士的互動與交流。 此外，它還有助於將技術轉化為工業應用。   在此祝賀黃博士！

曾遠康博士榮獲2022年Nano Research最佳論文獎

恭喜光子技術研究院成員曾遠康博士獲Nano Research編委會與清華大學出版社聯合選為2022最佳論文獎 (Top Papers Award)   獲獎論文： Highly sensitive solar-blind deep ultraviolet photodetector based on graphene/PtSe2/β-Ga2O32D/3D Schottky junction with ultrafast speed. Di Wu, Zhihui Zhao, Wei Lu, Lukas Rogée, Longhui Zeng, Pei Lin, Zhifeng Shi, Yongtao Tian, Xinjian Li, and Yuen Hong Tsang. Nano Res. 2021, 14(6): 1973–1979.   此最佳論文獎於 2015 年由 Nano Research 編委會和清華大學出版社 (TUP) 共同設立。 該獎項向全球範圍內在前兩年發表過納米研究論文的科學家開放。 每年JCR發布後，由委員會（主編、副主編、TUP代表）根據最近一年的被引情況和論文貢獻情況決定獲獎者。

余長源教授與其研究團隊獲得厲鼎毅最佳論文獎(只有英文版本)

Prof. Changyuan Yu and his research team won the Tingye Li Best Paper Award in Asia Communications and Photonics Conference and Exhibition (ACP) 2022, Shenzhen, China, November 4-8, 2022. It is the most prestigious international conference held in Asia-Pacific with over 1000 attendants.   For the paper: “Simultaneous Measurement of Axial Strain and Temperature Based on Twin-core Single-hole Fiber with Vernier effect” (authored by Y. Li, Y. Liu, W. Yuan, and C. Yu)

兩位光子技術研究院學者李剛教授及嚴鋒教授獲選為「2022 年最廣獲徵引研究人員」。此項殊榮代表他們的學術著作在其研究範疇極具影響力，獲國際學者廣泛徵引。   本年共有 6,938 名來自 69 個國家和地區、不同研究領域的學者獲此殊榮。科睿唯安是根據科學家過去 10 年所發表，並在 Web of Science 引文數據庫中，被引用次數高踞同學科、同發表年份前 1% 的論文數量，而遴選出全球具有重大和廣泛影響的頂尖科學家名單。

余長源教授當選2023 美國光學學會院士 (只有英文版本)

Prof. Changyuan Yu, one of the Management Committee Member in Photonics Research Institute (PRI), has been elected a Fellow of Optica for 2023 for his significant contributions to signal processing in optical fiber communication and sensing systems, and actively serving the optics community.   The Board of Directors of Optica (formerly OSA), Advancing Optics and Photonics Worldwide, recently elected 109 members from 24 countries to the Society’s 2023 Fellow Class. Optica Fellows are selected based on several factors, including outstanding contributions to business, education, research, engineering, and service to Optica and our community.“I am pleased to welcome the new Optica Fellows,” said Satoshi Kawata 2022 Optica President. “These members join a distinguished group of leaders who are helping to advance the field optics and photonics. Congratulations to the 2023 Class.” Fellows are Optica members who have served with distinction in the advancement of optics and photonics. IEEE TENCON 2022（IEEE Region 10旗艦會議）於2022年11月1-4日順利舉行 (只有英文版本)

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world's largest technical professional organization. As Technical Programme co-chair, Prof. Changyuan YU co-organized IEEE TENCON 2022 (IEEE Region 10 flagship conference) and it was successfully held on 1-4 November 2022 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, including one-day invited advanced photonics workshop on 3 November 2022.   IEEE Region 10 Conference (TENCON) is the annual flagship technical event of IEEE Region 10. This TENCON conference series has gain considerable interests among researchers, academicians, professionals, and students in the Asia-Pacific Region, covering all over technical areas related to IEEE.   Photonics Research Institute’s core members were also invited to deliver a speech during the invited advanced photonics workshop on 3 November 2022.
