The 2022 Hong Kong Scholars Program selected 50 outstanding PhD graduates from leading universities in Mainland China to join Hong Kong universities as postdoctoral fellows to conduct high-level research. PolyU accounts for the largest recruitment in the program, admitting 19 postdoctoral fellows. Jointly launched by the Society of Hong Kong Scholars and the China National Postdoctoral Council under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the program aims at effectively pooling the talent and research resources of Hong Kong and the Mainland to train outstanding postdoctoral fellows, particularly in experimental science and engineering disciplines. This year, 17 scholars from PAIR will serve as supervisors of the recruited postdoctoral fellows as they carry out scientific research work in our constituent research units.
