PolyU and the University Social Responsibility Network (USRN) co-organised the International USR Summit 2022 on the theme of “Education and Action for a Sustainable Future” from 16 to 18 November 2022. The USRN is a global alliance comprising 20 universities that share a common mission: to integrate social responsibility into higher education and contribute to the betterment of society through solutions to economic, social and environmental problems. The Summit is a biennial flagship event that steers global discussion and the development of universities' social responsibility.
PAIR was proud to arrange a plenary session featuring Chair Professors of PolyU and Directors of PAIR constituent research units. They presented collaborative research projects that promote social responsibility and sustainability by addressing global challenges. These projects cover various topics, including geographical information science and remote sensing, civil infrastructure, smart energy, smart ageing and sustainable urban development.
