Prof. Cai Jing, Member of the Research Institute for Smart Ageing, and his team developed “InsightRT”, a new smart patient management platform which makes online medical consultation possible. The system allows physicians to view basic information and photos uploaded by patients from the client portal. An AI algorithm will convert the uploaded photos into text descriptions of medical conditions and generate medical suggestions for physicians’ consideration.
Medical practitioners can view the image details and give diagnostic feedback through this platform. The system can store information such as the patient's personal details, medical condition and symptom descriptions, treatment records, and details about the next appointment.
The platform was shortlisted as a finalist in The 14th China Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao College Preliminary Competition and Shenzhen Virtual University Park Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
