Summary

This seminar shares the journey of developing and expanding myopia control services in Australia — from a single clinic to a growing network shaped by evolving patient needs and public awareness. It reflects on the challenges of introducing new models of care, balancing education, access and sustainability. Along the way, lessons from both success and failure highlight how optometrists can adapt and lead as the field transforms. The session will also touch on collaborative care models that connect practitioners, families and communities.
