Student Handbook
This Student Handbook introduces students to the procedures from enrolment, registration, assessment, progression to graduation and related payment procedures. It also states the rules and regulations for and responsibilities of students, apart from facilities and services available on campus.

Arrangements During Bad Weather
To ensure students’ safety under adverse weather conditions, arrangements for classes and examinations during bad weather are to be followed when the tropical cyclone warnings and rainstorm warnings are hoisted.

The Catering Committee, comprises both staff and student representatives, is responsible for the management of services provided by the catering outlets on campus, and to ensure the quality of catering services.

Promoting sustainable lifestyles to students is one of PolyU’s priorities. We aim to nurture a sustainability-conscious PolyU community and contribute to the society through facilities provision and programmes organisation. There are various campus sustainability programmes and activities available year-round for your participation in building a carbon-neutral campus.

GreenCoin
It is an innovative initiative to promote green culture and reward sustainability actions on campus. Current PolyU students can install the app on their mobile devices and use it to gain virtual points in the name of “Coins”. Upon fulfilling the missions listed on the app, they can earn and accumulate Coins, which can be used to redeem gifts or e-coupons that are applicable to campus facilities.

The Information Technology Services Office (ITS) provides central IT facilities and services to support learning and teaching, as well as daily operation of PolyU.
ITS’s website provides new students with essential IT information, including IT facilities, a PolyU’s student mobile app – PolyULife, PolyU’s NetID account and student email service.

To provide comprehensive mental health support for all PolyU students, PolyU-LINE, a student counselling hotline available during non-office hours, is set up to provide timely assistance.

All phone calls are answered by members from the Vital Employee Service Consultancy Christian Family Service Centre and followed up by SAO counsellors.
PolyU offers students an abundance of sports facilities to help keep them active. There are 3 sports centres on-campus and 1 sports centre off-campus available for a wide array of sports activities, such as basketball, dance, squash, indoor soccer and swimming.

Services available to full-time PolyU students at UHS include medical consultations, emergency care, minor operative treatments, immunisation, certification on health examinations, nursing care and subsidised primary dental care and more.
Besides, the UHS Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic offers general Chinese medicine clinical consultations, acupuncture, bone-setting and Chinese medicine granules dispensing service to full-time students.
