Master of Science in Language Neuroscience and Neurotechnology

MScLNN

[This programme is offered in the 2027/28 academic year subject to approval.]

The MSc in Language Neuroscience and Neurotechnology (MScLNN) programme offers a unique, interdisciplinary education grounded in language science and technology. It integrates neuroscience and neurotechnology to explore the biological basis of language, model its computational principles, and pioneer technologies—such as brain-computer interfaces (BCIs)—that decode and interpret brain activity. This innovative approach aims to drive transformative advancements in the diagnosis, therapy, and rehabilitation of speech and language disorders, while also positioning graduates to lead innovation in several emerging fields.

By integrating the frontiers of language neuroscience and neurotechnology, the programme fosters the development of versatile applications, ranging from AI-driven diagnostic tools for language disorder assessment to advanced neural interfaces for communication restoration in healthcare. Students explore the implementation of real-time cognitive monitoring and neurofeedback technologies to enhance learning outcomes and cognitive well-being across the lifespan. Through this rigorous interdisciplinary foundation, the programme empowers a new generation of professionals—including clinicians, data scientists, and R&D engineers—to not only redefine neuro-rehabilitation but also to pioneer human-centred innovations in education, assistive technology, and the burgeoning Neuro-AI industry.

This programme is delivered in English.
