Associate Professor

Biography

Prof. Yu-Yin Hsu is Associate Professor of the Department of Language Science and Technology at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She received her Ph.D. in Linguistics from Indiana University, Bloomington, USA. Her research interests primarily focus on the intersection of theoretical syntax and information structure, and their practical implications, particularly within psycholinguistic language processing and computational psycholinguistics. By using experimental methods, such as eyetracking technology, and computational modelling, her studies examine theoretical issues to provide empirical evidence and insights on testing and validating theoretical claims through real-time data from language processing.
