Enable two-factor authentication for using PolyU O365 apps wherever not in HK SAR

If you are planning to travel out of Hong Kong and will continue using the PolyU O365 apps on MS Cloud (e.g. Outlook email, OneDrive for Business and etc.) for communication or collaborative with colleagues, you are required to enable two-factor authentication with ‘Microsoft Authenticator’ app (PolyU MFA service) BEFORE you start your journey.

As communicated in the previous issue of newsletter, two-factor authentication is required for access PolyU O365 applications hosted on MS Cloud from locations outside HK SAR to align with security requirements starting from March 2022.

Staff who are currently using ‘Global Protect’ VPN service to access campus resources should have already downloaded the ‘Microsoft Authenticator’ app to your registered mobile phone. No further action is required.
