This workshop provides instructors with step-by-step guidance on creating course content from scratch in Canvas and migrating existing courses from Blackboard to Canvas. It covers exporting a course package from Blackboard, importing it into Canvas, and reviewing the imported course materials.

This workshop aims to equip instructors with the skills to create course content from scratch in Canvas and migrate what they have prepared from the previous learning management system.

• How to export a Blackboard course as a ZIP file from either Original Course View or Ultra Course View.
• How to use Canvas’s "Import Existing Content" tool to import course materials into the intended course.
• How to  monitor the import status and interpret the results.
• How to identify where Blackboard content appears in Canvas.
