Summary:

This workshop is designed to equip teachers with practical skills to effectively set up and manage online assessments using Blackboard’s Ultra course interface. Participants will learn how to create and configure assignments and tests, grade student submissions, and utilize Turnitin for plagiarism detection. The session also includes guidance on interpreting similarity reports to uphold academic integrity.
Additionally, the workshop will provide a brief overview of the university’s policy on the use of Generative AI tools in assignments, helping educators navigate emerging technologies responsibly. By the end of the workshop, teachers will be confident in leveraging Blackboard’s assessment tools to enhance their online teaching and evaluation processes.

 

Objective

To empower teachers with the knowledge and skills to create, manage, and grade online assessments using Blackboard’s Ultra interface, integrate Turnitin for plagiarism checking, and understand the university’s guidelines on the use of Generative AI in assignments.
