Summary
To enhance the security for remote access to PolyU internal applications and departments’ shared document folders outside campus, a new virtual private network (VPN) service has been commissioned. In parallel with the new VPN service, two-factor authentication mechanism has been adopted. Staff and students who assist in departments’ research projects, in addition to log in using staff NetID or Connect NetID with valid password, will be also required to have a valid one-time use security token.
To understand more on new VPN service and procedure to receive the one-time-use security token on personal handset, please join this coming seminar. Common security threats and best security practice for working from home will be also covered.
