Updated information on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and vaccines

 

1. Government maintains social distancing measures under Prevention and Control of Disease Ordinance

The Government gazette the extension of existing social distancing measures for 14 days till November 10.

2. Scientific Committees under CHP update consensus interim recommendations on COVID-19 vaccination

The Scientific Committee on Vaccine Preventable Diseases and the Scientific Committee on Emerging and Zoonotic Diseases under the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health convened a meeting on October 27, joined by the Chief Executive's expert advisory panel, to discuss and update consensus interim recommendations on COVID-19 vaccination, including the use of a third dose of COVID-19 vaccines and co-administration of COVID-19 vaccines with other vaccines.

3. Government enhances virus testing for high-risk and high-exposure groups

The Government announced that staff of high-risk and high-exposure groups will be required to undergo more frequent regular virus testing as a way to counter the latest development of the COVID-19 epidemic and mutant strains, and also as a more stringent anti-epidemic measure to complement the proactive "zero infection" strategy. In addition to airport staff of targeted groups who have started to undergo testing every three days recently, healthcare staff handling COVID-19 cases in the North Lantau Hospital Hong Kong Infection Control Centre (HKICC) also need to be tested every three days, whereas staff of other high-risk and high-exposure groups will be progressively arranged to undergo more frequent testing.

4. Government to resume quarantine exemption arrangement for persons arriving in Hong Kong from Macao

The Government announced that from November 2 (Tuesday) the quarantine exemption arrangement for persons arriving in Hong Kong from Macao under the Return2hk Scheme and the Come2hk Scheme will be resumed, given that the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Macao has stabilised.

1. 政府維持《預防及控制疾病條例》下的社交距離措施

政府刊憲延續社交距離措施的有效期14天,直至十一月十日為止。

2. 衞生防護中心轄下科學委員會更新2019冠狀病毒病疫苗接種的暫擬共識建議

衞生署衞生防護中心轄下的疫苗可預防疾病科學委員會和新發現及動物傳染病科學委員會於十月二十七日聯同行政長官專家顧問團進行會議,討論並更新有關2019冠狀病毒病疫苗(新冠疫苗)接種的暫擬共識建議,包括接種第三劑新冠疫苗以及新冠疫苗與其他疫苗同時接種的事宜。

3. 政府加強高風險高暴露群組病毒檢測

政府宣布為應對2019冠狀病毒病最新疫情及變異病毒株,高風險、高暴露群組人員須接受更加頻密的定期病毒檢測,作為更加嚴格的防控措施,以配合積極「清零」的防疫策略。除早前已開始三天一檢的機場特定群組人員外,北大嶼山醫院香港感染控制中心處理2019冠狀病毒病個案的醫護人員亦須接受三天一檢,其他高風險、高暴露群組人員會陸續獲安排接受加密檢測。

4. 政府恢復從澳門入境香港人士的豁免檢疫安排

鑑於澳門的2019冠狀病毒病疫情已趨平穩,將由十一月二日(星期二)起,恢復從澳門通過「回港易」及「來港易」計劃入境香港人士的豁免檢疫安排。
