As the holidays draw near, please remember these essential safety measures before leaving the laboratory:

1.  Update Emergency Contacts:

• Ensure the emergency contact information on your lab door is up-to-date.

2.  Pre-Holiday Checklist for all laboratory personnel: 

• Shut off and secure all gas cylinders and lines;
• Do not leave experiments unattended;
• Close fume cupboard sashes completely;
• Ensure backup power, gases, and water for critical equipment;
• Turn off and unplug non-essential equipment, if possible; and
• Lock doors to prevent unauthorized access to laboratory areas.
