The Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences (FCMS), established on 1 January 2025, exemplifies PolyU’s vision and commitment to shaping the future through education, research, and innovation. FCMS comprises three departments: the Department of Applied Mathematics (AMA), the Department of Computing (COMP), and the Department of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (DSAI). The Faculty works closely with the newly established PolyU Academy for Artificial Intelligence (PAAI) to advance world-leading AI research and applications. With a team of over 125 academic staff and 390 research personnel, FCMS offers comprehensive degree programmes at the undergraduate, taught postgraduate, and research postgraduate levels across all three disciplines.
FCMS is dedicated to becoming a world-class faculty in both research and education.
