On 30 July 2026, over 60 alumni and guests gathered for an engaging evening of Japanese cuisine, sake appreciation, and alumni bonding.
During the event, sake expert Ms Laura Wong led a sake-pairing session, introducing a selection of sake from different regions and sharing the characteristics and stories behind each one. Participants gained a deeper appreciation of sake culture and the harmonious pairing of sake and washoku. They enjoyed exquisite food and drinks while catching up with one another, and many also took the opportunity to make plans for future alumni activities together.
The gathering was also graced by Prof. Ben Young, Vice President (Student and Global Affairs), who joined alumni in sharing the enjoyment of the evening. The lucky draw finale brought the atmosphere to a high point, adding excitement and cheers as the event drew to a memorable close.
