Multiple scholarship options are available to our undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students at PolyU. Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital Scholarship

(Applicable for 53081 Master of Nursing students of 2023-2028 cohorts)

Objective of Scholarship To provide financial assistance based on students' academic achievement.
Value of Scholarship

For Year 2 & 3 students

Top three students, each obtains a GPA of 3.5 or above in their previous year(s) of study in the programme, will be awarded the scholarship. HK$45,000 per student.
The Donor, Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital, reserves the right to review the amount and the method of distribution of the scholarship from time to time.

Application Procedures Eligible students will be nominated during each academic year and are required to complete a nomination form.

School of Nursing Scholarship (for Conference attendance & undergoing Overseas Placements)

Value of Scholarship HK$10,000 for undergoing placements / attending conferences overseas
HK$2,000 for local conference attendance
Objective of Scholarship To encourage students to participate in overseas placements and local / international conferences to broaden their horizon, learning and experience.
Eligibility & Conditions of Award
  • Students on the MSc in Nursing (53070) programme are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Students can receive this scholarship once throughout their study.
Selection Criteria

For undergoing overseas placements (offered by the School of Nursing)

  1. Preferably obtain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent) or above;
  2. Submit a self-evaluation paper;
  3. Provide recommendations from Programme Leaders / Specialty Coordinators / Subject Lecturers.

For local and overseas conference attendance (initiated by students)

  1. Explain the relevancy of the conference to the chosen specialism in the MSc study;
  2. Submit a self-evaluation paper;
  3. Provide recommendations from Programme Leaders / Specialty Coordinators / Subject Lecturers.

(Remark: The School of Nursing reserves the right to accept or decline any applications submitted.)

Application Procedures

For undergoing overseas placements (offered by the School of Nursing)

Eligible students will be invited by the Programme Secretary of the MSc in Nursing (53070) to submit the required application documents in due course.

For local and overseas conference attendance (initiated by students)

Eligible students should submit a self-evaluation paper and provide the details of the conference to the Programme Secretary of the MSc in Nursing (53070) by email at least one month before the conference date..
