Cruz Gonzalez 教授是一名职业治疗师，研究范畴专注于神经康复，特别关注以科技为本的方法，以促进神经受损后的功能恢复。他的研究探讨使用非入侵性脑刺激（Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation, NIBS）作为认知障碍人士的认知康复方法，以及利用脑机接口（Brain–Computer Interface, BCI）系统促进中风后的上肢运动康复。 在加入理大之前，他曾于南洋理工大学的新加坡复康研究院担任研究员，参与开发中风后深度表型分析方案，利用数据驱动技术来描绘康复轨迹，并研发基于传感器技术的精细运动评估方法。 他乐与企业及机构合作，共同评估及应用新兴科技，以推动医疗革新及改善病人疗效。他现正招收博士生，欢迎对神经康复、认知康复、康复科技、数据驱动方法以及影响康复的心理社会因素等范畴有浓厚兴趣、积极进取的同学与他联络。
