Biography

Dr XU received his BSc in Biology from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and his PhD from The University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, he worked in Shenzhen University and The University of Hong Kong and participated in a number of research projects funded by the NSFC and HMRF. He works in the field of ageing, diabetes and cardiovascular disease especially in mitochondria ageing, adipose ageing, haematopoietic stem cells ageing. He has substantial experience in animal experiments, project management, research grant proposals and research paper preparation.
