徐博士在香港理工大学取得生物学理学学士学位并香港大学取得博士学位。在加入理大康复治疗科学系之前,徐博士曾在深圳大学及香港大学从事科研工作,参与多项国家自然科学基金项目及香港医疗卫生研究基金项目,并发表多篇研究论文。他的研究范围主要包括衰老、糖尿病及心血管疾病,特别在线粒体衰老,脂肪衰老,造血干细胞衰老领域有丰富经验。他在动物实验及科研项目管理拥有丰富经验,并熟悉撰写研究资助申请书和学术论文。
