Times Higher Education (THE) has announced the results of the THE Asia University Rankings 2025, revealing that PolyU has secured 18th place among 853 universities from 35 countries and regions, maintaining its status within the top 20 elite institutions in Asia.

In recent years, PolyU has significantly enhanced its global influence, achieving notable rankings across various THE rankings. It currently holds the 84th position worldwide and ranks 3rd among the most international universities. Additionally, PolyU excels in five academic disciplines, placing within the top 100 globally in those areas. These accomplishments reflect PolyU’s commitment to becoming an innovative world-class university recognised for its educational excellence and impactful research.

Recently, at the Times Higher Education Asia Universities Summit 2025, themed “Asia’s rise: A transformative journey in science, technology, and innovation”, that was held at the Macau University of Science and Technology, Professor Jin-Guang Teng, President of PolyU, shared insights in the panel discussion titled “Leadership panel: Leading collaboration for brighter futures”. In his remarks, he emphasised the importance of cross-border and interdisciplinary collaboration in shaping the global scientific landscape and reiterated PolyU’s dedication to building strong international partnerships to drive transformative advancements worldwide. Additionally, late last year, the THE Global AI Forum co-organised with PolyU successfully brought together 200 delegates from around the world to shed light on the growing influence of AI in higher education.
