Vice President Simon Wong looks back on his collaboration with PolyU researchers to foster Modular Integrated Construction in Hong Kong
Mr Simon Wong, PolyU Vice President (Campus Development and Facilities), was featured in the RTHK programme Hong Kong Letter, sharing his experience of adopting Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) with the help of PolyU researchers.
Mr Wong said that MiC has been enhanced with innovations from PolyU researchers, such as making use of AI technology, and called on the construction industry to adopt MiC to speed up construction progress, improve quality and reduce waste. He added that PolyU’s student hostels in Kowloon Tong will be constructed using MiC.
