Biography
Tamil Selvan Gunasekaran is a PhD in Bioengineering at the University of Auckland's Empathic Computing Laboratory, supervised by Prof. Mark Billinghurst. His research combines multimodal physiological sensing - EEG, PPG, GSR, and eye-tracking, with agentic AI systems to measure, support, and safeguard collaboration in virtual teams. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications in venues such as ACM CHI, ACM TOCHI, ACM CSCW, IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing, CLARA, Cognitive Bridge, and CoAffinity.
