Biography

Ms. Olivia Yeung is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Language Science and Technology at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from The University of Hong Kong, qualifying as a speech therapist, and later completed her Master of Philosophy there, focusing her research on aphasia treatment.

She began her career as a speech therapist in a non-governmental organization, serving children with communication disorders. She later worked in the private sector, where she refined her expertise in treating preschool and school-age children with speech, language, and literacy difficulties.

Since joining PolyU, Ms. Yeung has expanded her work to adult clinical services, contributing to communication rehabilitation for individuals with acquired disorders. Her current focus is clinical speech therapy education, supervising student therapists in their practicum and training them in adult service delivery.
