Biography
Dr Wing Li WU is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Language Science and Technology, where he has worked since 2012. He holds a PhD in Phonetics from University College London (UCL) and his research centres on Cantonese phonetics and the interaction between tone and intonation, with a particular focus on Cantonese prosody and sentence-final particles, alongside broader interests in general and Cantonese linguistics. He teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including foundational linguistics and phonetics subjects.
