Act Now: Strengthen Endpoint Device Security by Enrolling Non-Domain PCs & Workstations

Department PCs and notebooks not joined to the PolyU domain and lacking security protection software enlarge our attack surface. Once compromised, these machines can act as agents for malicious code, attacking other devices on the campus network or externally via PolyU's Internet connection.

With Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), enhanced protection will be provided to your PCs or notebooks against cyber-attacks such as malware, ransomware and other data breaches.

What PCs and notebooks should I enrol?

  • PolyU’s desktops and notebooks used in or outside office but not yet joined PolyU domain should be enrolled to be covered under MDE protection.
