Teaching & Learning Information Technology (TLIT) website and lab

Teaching & Learning Information Technology (TLIT) embraces technology to enhance the learning experience of students. With active participation and interactivity with software tools, students can obtain instant feedback on their progress and reinforce their knowledge. Students can join online classes on publishing animated content, trial out preparing VR/AR content and learn to write online game.

TLIT lab is located at M401 of Student Computer Centre (SCC), has workstations with graphics card installed to optimize running of multimedia applications. Students can use facilities in lab by either physically visit the lab or via Universal Desktop Service remotely over internet. Software such as Unreal Engine for Augmented Reality (AR) / Virtual Reality (VR), gamification and level design and development; Renderforest for animation, DaVinci Resolve for video editing and Unity for game development are available for student use.

The TLIT website (https://www.polyu.edu.hk/tlit) has been launched to provide a one-stop portal of all TLIT support services available at the University. Latest software tools and online workshops covering how to use these tools will be posted on TLIT website. Staff and students are encouraged to visit the TLIT website to check out resources that they could leverage to enhance their learning content production or prepare their course assignment / projects respectively.
