Ernst Mach Grant - worldwide

The Eurasia-Pacific Uninet (EPU) is now inviting applications for the Ernst Mach Grant - worldwide. The Scholarship aims to support Postgraduates and PhD students to conduct research in Austria for a maximum of nine months at a monthly scholarship of €1,250 in the fields of natural sciences, technical sciences, human medicine, health sciences, agricultural sciences, social sciences, humanities and arts at universities in Austria.

Application Procedures

Interested applicants should submit their application to the EPU direct online by 1 Feburary 2024 with the following documents:

  1. Two letters of recommendation by academic staff members at PolyU. The recommendation letters do not require a specific form, but must bear the letterhead, date and signature of the person recommending the applicant as well as the stamp of the Department/School and must not be older than six months at the time of application.
  2. Written consent of a host supervisor at the Austrian target university to academically supervise the applicant
  3. Scanned copy of your passport page with name and photo
  4. Scanned copy of your university graduation certificates (Master, PhD or doctoral studies) as well as a German or English translation
  5. (for PhD students) Proof of participation in a PhD programme at PolyU [Please send your request to GS on or before 26 January 2024. Late request will not be entertained.]

 

Result Announcement

Grant recipients will be issued a grant contract by the awarding organization (Letter of Award and Letter of Acceptance). Successful applicants will be required to forward the grant contract to the Graduate School by email to gs.scholarship@polyu.edu.hk
