PolyU appoints Mr Simon Wong as Vice President (Campus Development and Facilities), with effect from 3 May 2022.


The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) today announced the appointment of Mr Simon WONG Yuk Sun to the post of Vice President (Campus Development and Facilities) [VP(CDF)], effective 3 May 2022.

We are very pleased to have Mr Wong joining PolyU. With his vast experience in managing large-scale development projects, expertise in the latest construction methods and technologies, as well as strategic insights and leadership, we are confident that Mr Wong will play a vital role in steering various campus development initiatives, laying a solid foundation for the University in pursuing educational and research excellence now and ahead.

Mr Wong possesses over 30 years of solid experience in senior management roles in sizable organisations and listed companies such as the MTR Corporation Limited and The Link Management Limited. He also has substantial experience and a strong track record in delivering large-scale retail and property development projects in Hong Kong and the Mainland, covering both the public and private sectors. Upon assuming his new role as VP(CDF), Mr Wong will develop and oversee the implementation of strategies to enhance PolyU’s campus space and environment as well as the management of facilities to meet the strategic needs of the University. He will also oversee the planning and development of PolyU’s campus in the Greater Bay Area.

PolyU’s President, Professor Jin-Guang TENG, welcomed Mr Wong to the position of VP(CDF) and said, “We are very pleased to have Mr Wong joining PolyU. Graduating from The University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts (Architectural Studies) and a Bachelor of Architecture, Mr Wong has been a Registered Architect and Authorized Person (List 1) since 1994. Before joining PolyU, Mr Wong was the Chief Project Development Officer in the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, overseeing the infrastructure development and master planning of new and existing sites in Science Park and InnoPark.
