Professional Recognition

The programme has been granted full accreditation by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) which is recognized by all signatories of the Washington Accord. Graduates of the programme will satisfy the academic requirements for Corporate membership of the HKIE.

Demand for engineering professionals in the manufacturing, service and telecommunications sectors of Hong Kong is very high. As Hong Kong's economy witnesses continuous growth, graduates in electronic and information engineering are greatly needed to fill such posts as commercial, design and production engineers, sales and marketing engineers, and executives in the design and manufacture of various electronic and digital products, computer systems, networking, software, telecommunications and the Internet. Some of our graduates pursue further study or research in Hong Kong and abroad.
