Historical Exploration 歷史考察

During the talk, Prof. Ting will explore Korea’s historic architecture and cultural sites, with a focus on Confucian and Buddhist traditions. The talk will explore how these traditions relate to broader East Asian (Han) cultural heritage and will discuss Korea’s position within the Sinosphere. Prof. Ting will also be leading a historical exploration to the Republic of Korea in May.

丁新豹教授將於講座中重點探討韓國的儒家與佛教文化,以及韓國歷史建築與文化遺跡,說明韓國是漢文化圈的重要一員,與華夏文化一脈相承。丁新豹教授亦會於五月帶隊前往韓國進行歷史考察。

PolyU students, staff and alumni are welcome to attend the Talk on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Historical Exploration is open exclusively to PolyU full-time students and full-time staff aged 18 or above, holding valid travel documents.

For the Historical Exploration, priority will be given to the successful applicants who attend the Talk hosted by Prof. Ting on 23 April 2026. Lots will be drawn to determine the successful applicants.

Please enrol here on or before 30 March 2026 (Monday). Each successful applicant may register for up to two tickets for the talk and one slot for the Historical Exploration. Successful applicants will be notified by email individually.
