On 11 August 2026, a 15-member delegation from Harbin Institute of Technology visited the National Rail Transit Electrification and Automation Engineering Technology Research Centre (Hong Kong Branch), CNERC-Rail, at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University for an official visit and exchange. The delegation comprised Prof. Li-Cheng Guo, Prof. Yan-Hong Chen, Prof. Zi-Wen Xu, Prof. Kai Huang, Ms. Li-Yuan Zhao, and ten students.
During the visit, the delegation toured the IC Railway Corner (U301) and the Maglev Laboratory, where they were introduced to the research platforms, experimental facilities, and ongoing research activities of PolyU and CNERC-Rail. Subsequently, both parties participated in a discussion session to exchange perspectives on research areas, talent development, and potential avenues for future collaboration.
This visit and exchange enhanced the delegation’s understanding of PolyU’s research platforms and CNERC-Rail’s research activities, establishing a strong foundation for future academic exchange and research collaboration between the two institutions.
