Yunnan Province Visits PolyU CNERC-Rail Centre

On 24 June 2026, a delegation from Yunnan Province visited the National Rail Transit Electrification and Automation Engineering Technology Research Center (Hong Kong Branch), CNERC-Rail, at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and participated in a visit and exchange activity. The delegation included Mr. Da-Jin Guo, Vice Governor of Yunnan Province; Mr. Jun-Song Xia, Director-General of the Department of Transport of Yunnan Province; Mr. Zuo-Xin Ma, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People's Government of Yunnan Province; Mr. Yi Li, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province; Mr. Huai-Jun Zhao, Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Bureau of Yunnan Province; Mr. Yi Wang, Fourth-Level Researcher of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People's Government of Yunnan Province; and Mr. Qiao Li, Deputy General Manager of Caiyun International Investment Co., Ltd.
During the visit, Dr. Si-Qi Ding and Dr. Vincent Wai Kei Ao extended a warm welcome to the delegation on behalf of the Center and introduced the development of CNERC-Rail, its research platforms, and major research progress. The delegation then visited the Center's research facilities and gained further insights into its research foundation and application achievements in rail transit electrification and automation, intelligent monitoring, engineering safety, and technological innovation.
This visit and exchange enhanced the Yunnan delegation's understanding of CNERC-Rail's research platforms, innovation capacity, and application outcomes, and laid a solid foundation for strengthening regional scientific and technological exchange and cooperation in the future.
