Dr. Wai-Kei Ao, Dr. Yao Hu, Mr. Jia-hao Lu, and Mr. Yu-hang Lu, under the supervision of Prof. Yi-Qing Ni, formed a research team to participate in the 2nd International Innovation Competition on Structural Health Monitoring for Railway Systems. Prof. Ni, Dr. Ao, and Mr. Lu represented the team during the on-site activities and presentation held in Singapore on 17 November 2025.
The team advanced through the preliminary, semi-final, and final stages of the competition, ultimately receiving the Runner-Up (i.e., Excellence Award) for CNERC-Rail. This recognition underscores the team's innovative research and excellence in applying structural health monitoring technologies to contemporary railway systems.
