Established in 2007, the RCGFS's (formerly known as IAA) Mini-U for the Third Age Programme is a 2-week course held from Monday to Friday at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) main campus for adults who are in the ‘third age’ of life, namely those aged 50 years or older with no substantial employment or family responsibilities. The programme comprises subjects such as health, computing, history, physical exercise, communications, Chinese opera, nutrition, social relationships, and languages and includes a visit to a PolyU student dormitory. After completing the programme, students are awarded a certificate in a formal graduation ceremony.
