The Diploma in Active Ageing is designed by the Research Centre for Gerontology and Family Studies to enable people over 50 years old to fulfil their dream of pursuing further education that was put aside when they were young for financial or family reasons.

The course offers 10 subjects ranging from health management to personal finance and social policies for older people. It is conducted in Cantonese supplemented with English. Students who complete three subjects graduate with a Certificate in Active Ageing. Students who complete all 10 subjects graduate with the Diploma in Active Ageing.
