On 31 October, Dr Tik Chi Yuen, the Legislative Councillor, along with Dr Ricky Hon (Executive Director) and Mr Edward Lee (Executive Officer) from the Office of Dr Tik Chi Yuen, Legislative Councillor paid a visit to the Institute of Active Ageing (IAA) of the PolyU. The IAA director Dr Bai Xue, honorary consultant Mrs Tsien Wong Bik Kwan, team members Dr Liu Chang, Ms Lin Jingyi and Mr Yip Ho-ming had meeting with visitors.

Dr Bai introduced the work scope of IAA, and the progress of programmes and activities in IAA, and also responded to the focus of Dr Tik Chi Yuen and others. The two sides had a fruitful discussion on the development of welfare policies and services for older adults and their families. The team members of IAA provided constructive suggestions.

After that, Dr Tik Chi Yuen and his team visited the office of IAA and talked to team members Ms Amy Wong and Mr Ho Kam-kuen. In particular, Dr Tik Chi Yuen learned about Mr Ho Kam-kuen's work as an elderly volunteer in IAA and his participation in IAA programmes.

We look forward to stepping up our efforts in various aspects to enhance the policies and services for Hong Kong older adults, and to make Hong Kong a more age-friendly city.
