Project Description:

This project aimed to equip university students with ageing-related competence, to promote their interest in the silver hair market, and to strengthen institutional capacity in response to ongoing sociodemographic changes.

Project Objectives:

  • To identify and cultivate a community of ‘champion’ PolyU faculty members who integrate ageing-related content into the courses they teach
  • To equip students with gerontological knowledge and the skills to adopt an age-inclusive perspective in their respective disciplines
  • To promote the integration of gerontological concepts and skills into the formal curricula of seven disciplines in PolyU
  • To enhance the institutional capacity to innovatively support the development of social and academic leaders in preparation for an increased ageing population
