Summary

Calling all PolyU Futsal enthusiasts! Fresh off the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026, join fellow alumni for our “Futsal Skills and Tactics Lab”, organised by the Alumni Football Club.

Whether you are new to futsal or an experienced player looking to refine your edge, this workshop offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding of the game and take your performance to the next level. Led by a professional futsal coach, the programme combines tactical instruction, skill demonstrations and practical training to help participants develop a well-rounded game. Two sessions are available to cater to different levels. Please choose the session that best matches your level of skills.

Session 1: Building Fundamentals and Using Space (Beginner Level)
Target: Participants who are transitioning from 11-a-side to 5-a-side football, have limited football experience, or would like to strengthen their fundamentals.
Content: Focusing on the unique characteristics of futsal, this session covers essential individual techniques, key attacking and defensive principles, ball control, and effective use of space in a fast-paced, small-sided environment, helping participants build a foundation for match play.

Session 2: Advanced Tactics and Competitive Development (Intermediate Level)
Target: Experienced players with solid fundamentals who are looking to take their game to the next level.
Content: Explore advanced futsal tactics, improve positioning, defensive coordination and team play, and enhance overall organisation and competitive performance.

Please note: Each alumnus may register for one session only. As spots are limited, priority will be given to alumni who have not participated, or have participated less frequently, in previous activities, to allow more alumni the opportunity to join. Thank you for your understanding and support!

Keynote Speaker

[Coach] Mr Lee Chi Ho

Mr Lee Chi Ho is an experienced local futsal player currently representing Pak Hei Sports Association, one of The Futsal League (First Division) under The Football Association of Hong Kong, China. With extensive competition experience, he has helped his team secure the 2nd Runner-up in both the “2025-26 Jockey Club Futsal League (Division One)” and the “Futsal FA Cup”. He has also been selected as a district representative for the futsal competition at the Hong Kong Games. Beyond his athletic achievements, Mr Lee is actively involved in the development of local sport. He has served as a futsal coach for various organisations, schools and sports clubs across Hong Kong. He previously worked in the PE Section of the PolyU Student Affairs Office, where he was responsible for managing the football team and also led PolyU teams to compete in the Jockey Club Futsal Cup (Higher Education Division). Mr Lee dedicates himself to nurturing the next generation of young players and promoting the growth of futsal in the community.
